.................................................................................................................................       To be able to travel and visit a beautiful place and enjoy it is magic. To have grown up and live there is a gift from gods.   I was lucky enough to grow up and live in such a place, the so called “jewel of Ionian”, beautiful Corfu.  The island is uniquely green set in dark blue and turquoise sea.    “Gimari” the village I was born translates into “earth in to sea” a small place in the north east of the island.  This area is full of small hamlets scattered around the olive groves.  I was brought up in a hamlet called “Vlachatica” which is located on the hill just on top of Kalami - famous for Gerald Durrell’s White House.  .............................................................    The small restaurant that I run is located there, facing the sea and the Albania Mountains across. My love for nature and animals prompt me to start a horse riding school in Avlaki (near Kassiopi located further north), in a peninsular famed for its Natural Beauty.      Life has taught me that to succeed you have to love what you do, make your hobby work.
